Our History

Telugu Association South Island (TASI) came in to existence in 2006, with the sole purpose of bringing together our Telugu community. It has been striving to keep our Telugu culture and language alive, through cultural as well as community activities. The TASI has been providing a common platform for all the Telugu people to exhibit their talents, irrespective of age and gender.

To foster mutual understanding, cooperation and coordination amongst the Telugu people, thereby putting together a strong confident and culturally affluent Telugu society.

Our Objectives

To inculcate strong cultural and moral values in the younger generations through community activities.
To provide a common platform for Telugu people to share their views and ideas.
To devise a socially responsible and sensitive community.
To encourage and reward talented and gifted children thereby mustering a competitive spirit.
To place the Telugu community on par with the other Indian communities.
